Dr Ajeet Sidhu

Dr Ajeet Sidhu is a highly dedicated Specialist Geriatrician and Specialist General Physician who is deeply committed to providing holistic, compassionate, and reassuring care for older adults. With a clinical focus on the complex health needs of patients aged 65 and over, he specialises in diagnosing and managing a wide range of age-related conditions. Dr Sidhu is particularly renowned for his expertise in addressing geriatric syndromes, cognitive decline, and chronic health issues, ensuring his patients maintain their independence, dignity, and overall well-being.

His extensive clinical interests encompass comprehensive geriatric assessments, dementia and cognitive evaluations, and the management of Alzheimer's disease. Dr Sidhu is highly skilled in psycho-geriatrics, particularly in managing the behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia, as well as ortho-geriatrics, falls prevention, and mobility issues. Dr Sidhu completed his basic medical degree, obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1985, before pursuing postgraduate education to earn a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Pharmacology in India. Upon relocating to Australia, he completed his advanced Specialist training in Geriatric Medicine to become a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). He is an active member of several prestigious professional organisations, including the Australian Medical Association and the Australian and New Zealand Society for Geriatric Medicine, and has previously served on the Clinical Council of the Clinical Excellence Commission.
