Dr. Ai Tran

Dr. Ai Tran is a dedicated Consultant Rheumatologist who provides comprehensive and compassionate care for patients experiencing a wide range of musculoskeletal and autoimmune conditions. With a strong focus on adult rheumatology, he is committed to delivering personalised, evidence-based treatment plans that help patients manage chronic conditions and improve their quality of life. Dr. Tran integrates advanced diagnostic techniques, including musculoskeletal ultrasound, to ensure precise assessments and targeted therapeutic interventions.

His clinical interests encompass a broad spectrum of rheumatic diseases, with particular expertise in managing inflammatory arthritis, spondyloarthritis, gout, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and vasculitis. Dr. Tran utilises clinician-performed ultrasound to assist in the accurate diagnosis of joint and soft tissue disorders, as well as to perform guided injections for targeted pain relief. He actively collaborates with patients to develop tailored management strategies, ensuring they are well-informed and supported throughout their treatment journey.

Dr. Tran completed his medical degree at the University of Western Australia, where he also earned a Master of Clinical Research. He undertook extensive specialist training in rheumatology across several major teaching hospitals in Western Australia and Queensland, completing a specialised fellowship to gain advanced expertise in complex rheumatic diseases. Dr. Tran is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and an active member of the Australian Rheumatology Association (ARA). Additionally, he holds a Certificate of Clinician Performed Ultrasound (CCPU), reflecting his advanced skills in diagnostic imaging.
