Dr Adam Nelson

Dr Adam Nelson, who also holds the academic title of Associate Professor, is a highly qualified Cardiologist who provides comprehensive cardiovascular care. As a General and Interventional Cardiologist, he is dedicated to helping patients manage and improve their heart health. Dr Nelson is committed to delivering personalised care, ensuring that each patient receives a tailored treatment plan that addresses their unique cardiovascular needs and risk factors.

His clinical interests lie in preventative cardiology and personalised cardiovascular risk assessment. Dr Nelson specialises in evaluating and managing conditions such as atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, dyslipidaemia, and the cardiovascular impacts of diabetes and obesity. By utilising advanced diagnostic techniques and evidence-based therapies, he aims to prevent the progression of heart disease and support his patients in achieving long-term wellness.

Dr Nelson completed his medical training at the University of Adelaide, where he earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He went on to complete an Honours degree in Medical Science and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focusing on vascular function and risk assessment. Furthering his academic pursuits, he obtained a combined Master of Business Administration and Master of Public Health, with a focus on epidemiology and clinical trial methods. Dr Nelson is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, reflecting his high standards of clinical excellence and ongoing commitment to the field of medicine.
