About The Osteo Centre

The Osteo Centre, located in South Yarra, Melbourne, is a leading clinic dedicated to holistic osteopathic care. With a focus on personalised treatment plans and comprehensive wellness, the clinic aims to empower patients by addressing not only symptoms but the underlying causes of discomfort. The Osteo Centre is committed to helping individuals achieve optimal health through tailored care and patient education.

At The Osteo Centre, the approach to osteopathy is rooted in treating the body as a whole. This holistic method combines a variety of techniques, including soft tissue massage, dry needling, joint manipulation, and articulation, to address musculoskeletal issues and enhance overall wellbeing. In addition to hands-on therapy, the clinic offers guidance on exercise rehabilitation and ergonomic practices, empowering patients to take control of their health and reduce the risk of recurring issues.

The clinic caters to a diverse range of patients, including those experiencing acute or chronic pain, athletes seeking to improve performance and recover from injuries, pregnant women needing gentle care for pregnancy-related discomfort, and individuals of all ages looking to improve their quality of life. Whether managing headaches, lower back pain, sports injuries, or chronic conditions, the practitioners at The Osteo Centre provide tailored treatments designed to meet each patient's specific needs.

A unique aspect of the clinic’s approach is the emphasis on mental and emotional wellbeing, recognising how these factors impact physical health. The team integrates evidence-based practices from both conventional and alternative medicine, offering a comprehensive path to healing. From the initial consultation to ongoing treatment, patients are encouraged to actively participate in their health journey, fostering open communication and trust.

One of the key services offered is rehabilitation sessions, which take place in a gym setting and are specifically designed to help patients recover from injuries or surgeries. These sessions focus on restoring strength, flexibility, and functionality through structured exercise plans and one-on-one guidance. Additionally, the clinic provides dry needling, a therapeutic technique that targets muscle tension and trigger points to alleviate pain and improve function.

Pregnant women are supported with safe, gentle osteopathic care tailored to the unique challenges of pregnancy, such as back pain, pelvic discomfort, and joint stiffness. The osteopaths use hands-on techniques like gentle manipulation, soft tissue massage, and stretching to improve mobility and comfort.

The Osteo Centre’s dedicated team, including osteopaths Amelia Flynn and Matt O’Brien, brings a wealth of experience and a patient-focused approach to every consultation. Their commitment to holistic care ensures that each patient receives the attention and support needed to manage pain, enhance mobility, and achieve long-term health.

I visited Molly Clark at the Osteo Centre for a persistent foot problem that was making walking painful. What I loved most was Molly's holistic approach; she didn't just treat my foot but looked at my entire alignment to find the root cause. After a few sessions of gentle joint mobilisation and soft tissue work, my foot feels significantly better, and my overall body tension has decreased. She also gave me great advice on footwear and some easy home exercises. Highly recommend for anyone looking for thorough, professional care!

Osteopathy - The Osteo Centre

Osteopathy - The Osteo Centre

Osteopathy is a holistic treatment that treats the body as a unit. Osteopaths look beyond just the site of pain to all other joints and tissues surrounding the area of dysfunction to make sure you get a complete treatment. Issues in one area can influence another. They can use a variety of modalities, including soft tissue massage, joint manipulation and articulation and dry needling to support and enhance the natural healing process of the body. By treating the body as a whole, osteopathy addresses the root causes of pain and dysfunction rather than just the symptoms, and each treatment plan is tailored to the individual needs of the patient, considering their unique health history and lifestyle.
