Central Neurology

Central Neurology Specialists is a neurological practice based in Camperdown, Sydney, providing assessment and management for patients with a broad range of neurological concerns. The practice was established by consultant neurologists Dr Stephen Duma and Dr Julia Thompson, who each worked independently as consultant neurologists for more than a decade before founding the clinic. Their approach includes explaining neurological conditions clearly and working with patients and their families to develop individual management plans.

The practice manages migraines and chronic headaches, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy and seizure disorders, Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders, stroke and transient ischaemic attacks, neuropathy and other nerve disorders. It also assesses neurological complications arising from cancer and cancer treatment.

Available treatments include botulinum toxin injections for chronic migraine and selected neurological or pain conditions, infusion therapies, medication management, nerve blocks and other interventional treatments. The clinic also provides HeartBug ECG monitoring, device education, supportive care and both face-to-face and telehealth consultations.
