Dr Kumar's extensive experience as a GP in Metropolitan Practices in Brisbane, combined with his specialist training in dermatology at the Royal Brisbane and Mater Hospitals, makes him uniquely qualified to provide excellence in all areas of skincare.

His particular areas of interest include paediatric dermatology, psychocutaneous dermatology, and ethnic dermatology. He is also interested in hair biology and transplantation, as well as geriatric dermatology.

Dr Kumar is experienced in treating common skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis and eczema. Additionally, he has expertise in skin cancer diagnosis and management. He does not provide cosmetic dermatology services.

Furthermore, Dr Kumar regularly conducts Urban as well as Rural Indigenous clinics through General Practice Qld's USOAP and MSOAP programmes.
