طوال مسيرته المهنية، ركز الدكتور زين على مجموعة واسعة من تخصصات جراحة العظام، بما في ذلك جراحة عظام الأطفال لحالات مثل القدم الحنفاء، وخلع الورك النمائي، وتشوهات القدم مثل القدم المسطحة وارتفاع قوس القدم. وهو بارع في علاج الإصابات الرياضية التي تصيب الكتف، والمرفق، والورك، والركبة، والكاحل، باستخدام الطرق التحفظية والجراحية.
