تفتخر الدكتورة أورميل فيرما بخبرة تزيد عن أربعة عقود في طب النساء والولادة. ومنذ أغسطس 1981، وهي تخدم دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة قادمة من المملكة المتحدة كاستشارية ورئيسة قسم، مستفيدة من خبرتها لتحديث المرافق في الدولة وتعزيز الرعاية الطبية وفق المعايير الدولية. وعلى مدار الـ 26 عاماً الماضية، كانت رائدة في العديد من الخدمات في البلاد، لا سيما في مجالات التنظير والتشخيص والخدمات الجراحية، حيث أدخلت تقنيات متطورة.
حصلت الدكتورة فيرما على درجة بكالوريوس الطب وبكالوريوس الجراحة في عام 1967 من كلية ومستشفى ليدي هاردينج الطبية في دلهي بالهند. وقبل عملها في الإمارات، أمضت 11 عاماً في المملكة المتحدة، حيث أصبحت عضواً في عام 1974 وزميلاً في عام 1987 في الكلية الملكية لأطباء النساء والتوليد في لندن.

Dr. Urmil verma is an amazing gynecologist. She is kind, caring, and extremely knowledgeable. From the moment I met her, she made me feel comfortable and listened to all my concerns with patience.
