Dr. Fabrizio Facchini is Consultant Pulmonologist at Mediclinic City Hospital, Healthcare City - Dubai. After completing his basic medical education, he obtained MD from the University of Ferrara in Italy. He was a Clinical & Research Fellow from the University College London in the UK and Specialised in Pulmonary Diseases and Phthisiology from the University of Ferrara in Italy. He is Board Certified from ODM - Italy; GMC - UK; DHA - UAE.

Dr. Fabrizio Facchini is a member of the Emirates Thoracic Society (ETS), Culture Chairperson & Deputy President ETS ILD Group. He is also member of the European Respiratory Society, member of the Associazione Italiana Medici Ospedalieri, and member of the Italian Respiratory Society. He is Reviewer for Multidisciplinary Respiratory Medicine Journal.  . He has published book chapters,
educational sets & research journal articles.

Dr. Fabrizio Facchini commenced his career as Resident in Respiratory Diseases at the University of Ferrara in Italy, then as a Clinical & Research Fellow in Respiratory & Sleep Medicine at University College London in the UK.
He was a Respiratory Consultant at the University of Ferrara, Respiratory Consultant & Medical Lead Cardiopulmonary Testing at Bolzano NHS Trust, Respiratory Consultant at Rovigo NHS Trust, all in Italy. He then served in the UK as a Respiratory Consultant and Medical Lead of Non-invasive Ventilation at North Lincolnshire NHS Trust, He served also as Respiratory Medicine Tutor at the University of Hull, Respiratory Consultant and Medical Lead of Non-invasive Ventilation at Coventry University Hospital NHS Trust, Respiratory Consultant & Medical Lead Asthma at Leads University Hospitals NHS Trust, and a Respiratory Consultant & Medical Lead Interstitial Lung Diseases at Basildon & Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Dr. Fabrizio Facchini spent a few years as a Consultant and Medical Lead for Interstitial Lung Diseases and Smoking Cessation at ULSS Vittorio Veneto in Italy. He then moved to the UAE as a Senior Consultant Pulmonologist & Director of Pulmonary Medicine at the Valiant Clinic & Hospital and a Senior Consultant Pulmonologist at Al Rahba Hospital. He also worked for 2 years at Medcare Hospital Al Safa where developed allergic, sleep and bronchoscopic services

Dr. Fabrizio Facchini is an expert at treating patients with asthma, respiratory allergies, lung fibrosis & interstitial lung diseases. He treats snoring & obstructive sleep apnoea and helps with smoking cessation. He uses respiratory physiology, advanced pulmonary function testing, flexible bronchoscopy and non-invasive ventilation.
He has joined Mediclinic City Hospital as Clinical Lead in Pulmonary Medicine in November 2025
