About
LONDON FOOT CLINIC
We are the first London foot clinic; having opened our doors in 1989, we offer comprehensive care and the full range of podiatric services. Our specialty is podiatric surgery and the biomechanical management of functional orthopaedic disorders.
Our practise philosophy revolves around giving the most up-to-date and high-quality treatment possible. Our approach prioritises conservative treatment wherever possible. When treatment is prescribed, every effort is made to provide the patient with options and the necessary information to make an informed choice.
Consultant Podiatric Surgeon Mr Nayan Patel is a Fellow of the Royal College of Podiatric Surgeons. He has a particular interest in sports injuries. He has been in practice since 1983 and works as an NHS consultant podiatric surgeon for the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust where he carries out corrective foot surgery. He has been in private practice since 1989 and has worked with London Bridge Hospital since 1996.
Mr Patel is also a director at The London Foot Clinic, a cutting-edge biomechanics and gait analysis diagnostic centre in the HCA Outpatients and Diagnostics department, which is located in The Shard and features advanced diagnostic facilities on-site. Mr Patel has a special interest in biomechanics and its role in musculoskeletal disorders. He is experienced in the treatment of sports and occupational injuries and regularly treats sportspeople, both amateur and professional.
He works closely with multi-disciplinary medical, surgical and rehabilitation teams both at The London Bridge Hospital and The London Foot Clinic, and he holds weekly joint clinics with sports physicians and the physiotherapy team in the Shard.
Mr Patel also lectures at both national and international levels. He is also a founding member and a trustee of The Janki Foundation for Spirituality in Healthcare and has been studying and practising meditation since 1980.
