    Professor Gus Alusi, Consultant ENT and Head & Neck Surgeon, is currently situated in London. He works within the Bart’s NHS Trust, as well as several private practices across London. He is very experienced in handling all aspects of adult and paediatric ENT issues, with a specific focus on complex head and neck surgery, thyroid surgery, complex sinus surgery, and rhinoplasties.

    Professor Alusi was appointed to Consultant in 2000 after he completed his training in hospitals across London including The Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear, St Bartholomew's, and The Royal Marsden. He currently holds the position of Senior Surgeon within the Head and Neck Unit in his NHS Trust. He was also later was awarded a PhD by the University of Leicester in recognition of his work in image-guided surgery.

    Professor Alusi is a very active teacher, holding the position of Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Cancer at St Bart's. He devotes a lot of his time outside of clinical work to training trainee surgeons undergoing their MSc degrees. His work with these trainees has resulted in the publication of numerous peer-reviewed articles. His current research interests lie in Oncolytic Viruses for the treatment of cancer and gene therapy with a goal of identifying novel therapeutics and methods of gene delivery.

    Mr Alusi and his staff are always very friendly and make me feel completely at ease. Mr Alusi is very gentle with the ear suction I have and the treatment has never triggered an infection, which has happened with other Doctors, including specialists in the past.
