Mr Gangooly completed his medical degree in Calcutta, India in 1995. He did postgraduate training in gynaecology and obstetrics which led to an MD in Gynaecology and Obstetrics. During his training in the United Kingdom he obtained the MRCOG in 2002. His training started at King College Hospital as part of the South Thames rotation. Mr Gangooly completed a Fellowship in Assisted Conception and Infertility as a Senior Registrar at St Bartholomew's Hospital in London which included gynaecology scanning. The other emphasis in his training was in Advanced Endoscopic Surgery at Princess Royal University Hospital and Lewisham Hospital in London, this included laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery for benign gynaecology. Mr Gangooly has published papers and abstracts in leading journals and has presented at national and international meetings. His interest in medical education led him to do a Masters at Cardiff University. He is involved in teaching, training and running laparoscopy courses and is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer of the Postgraduate Medical Institute at the Anglia Ruskin University.
