I was very anxious prior to meeting Mr Gudsoorkar. On my visit visit , he put me at ease with his clear explanation and manner . He explained that i needed a laser treatment for one eye which had cataract surgery a few years back and needed a cataract surgery for the other one . I did not feel rushed to make any decisions and i underwent the YAG laser next week with immediate improvement in my vision. I had the cataract surgery soon after and this was great success too. his was my second Cataract operation with Mr Gudsoorkar. From my first appointment he filled with confidence with his knowledge, professionalism and the time spent explaining the conditions I was experiencing. I was left with a clear understanding of the treatment needed. this was followed by the two operations and again I was reassured at every stage and the experience made as pleasant as possible by all those involved. Most importantly Mr Gudsoorkar followed the operations with personal calls at home to make sure the recovery was going as planned and I was left again reassured that if I needed help it would be there.

I have been under Mr.Gudsoorkar's care for the last 5 years . Initially referred for retinal problems due to poorly controlled diabetes , he very approachable, kind and thorough. He contacted the diabetic specialists at the Hospital for improving my blood sugar control . I was treated with eye injections initially and then laser treatment for both eyes. After a couple of years , he performed my cataract surgeries at the Nuffield Hospital. Having been under his care both at the Musgrove Park ( NHS ) and the Nuffield ( private ) , his standard of care has always been exemplary! I cannot thank him enough .

I met Mr Gudsoorkar a few years back after struggling with my eye problems in a neighbouring hospital . I was diagnosed recurrent Uveitis and wasn’t happy with my care and requested a second opinion due to his expertise . I was very impressed with his thoroughness in assessing my problems and organising all investigations leading to diagnosis of sarcoidosis . The repeated inflammations in the past had caused significant cataracts and episodes of high pressures. He also referred me to the cardiologists and respiratory physicians and commenced me on immunosuppressant medication.This completely controlled the chest problems and eye inflammations.I was also told that the sarcoidosis had affected the heart and could have caused heart block if not detected and treated on time. I opted to have my cataract surgeries privately at the Nuffield and had the extended depth of focus lens .I am absolutely amazed with the result !!
