About
Mr Shahjehan Wajed is a highly experienced Senior Consultant General Surgeon. He has been working in Exeter since 2004 and is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer for upper gastrointestinal surgery at the University of Exeter Medical School. He has a particular interest in gallstones, hernia, reflux diseases and he can perform laparoscopic surgery.
Mr Wajed qualified in Medicine in 1992 from Oxford University, and undertook his higher surgical training in the London Deanery. He has also worked as a Research Fellow in Foregut Surgery at the University of Southern California under the supervision of Professor Tom DeMeester. Furthermore, he has previously worked as a Lecturer at the Royal Free & UCL Medical School.
