From the our first meeting Mr Casula was incredibly reassuring and calming, his explanations were clear and complete. His advice was well substantiated with the pro’s and con’s of the possible approaches explained. The operation itself was successful and is leading to a fast recovery - I am in no doubt this is due to Mr Casula’s vast experience and skill, especially with the ‘open heart’ type surgery I required. Throughout my stay in hospital his care and attention to detail was evident through a number of visits and his direct communication with the nurses. Communication pre and post surgery to make all the necessary appointments and provide the required information etc was easy and a pleasure thanks to Mr Casula’s practice manager, Victoria.

Mr. Casula gave a clear explanation of everything and is very approachable. I knew what to expect and why. I felt intuitively on meeting him that I was in good hands (as proved to be the case) and that I was the important person in the relationship. I was also impressed that he came regularly to my bedside to see how I was doing after the operation and it was clear that he cared how I was faring. I can recommend Mr Casula without any hesitation whatsoever.

It was recommended to me by my Cardiologist, that I be operated upon as a consequence of a leaking Tricuspid valve which, over time, would likely manifest itself in various ways, if left untreated. This seemed rather daunting to me - in particular as I am relatively young (58), fit and currently at least, I am not impacted at all by this condition. My Cardiologist recommended that I meet with Dr Roberto Casula, to discuss my condition, what surgery might be required and the implications for me in having surgery to repair the valve. Naturally, I Googled Dr Casula, and took great comfort from Dr Casula's knowledge, experience and understanding in the field of Cardiac Surgery in the UK, but also, his pioneering work in minimal access surgery. The advantages of which are very clear. From my perspective it's great that Dr Casula has all these qualities, but would he be able to put me at ease and be able to explain the complexities of his work in a manner that I might understand as his patient? As it transpired, Dr Casula was excellent. We had an open and frank discussion about my condition, the options I might have, and what the optimal outcome might be for me and what might constitute success. He talked me through all these points in detail prior to the operation, and since the operation he has continued to guide me through any complexities. I am delighted to say that the surgery seems to have been a great success. I left hospital 5 days post my minimal access surgery. Two weeks later I was walking up to 2 hours a day, exercising for 30 minutes each day on the Peleton, as well as riding my normal bike. Now, three weeks post surgery, I feel pretty back to normal. In another three to four weeks I anticipate I'll be back playing racket sports again. Many thanks to Dr Roberto Casula for all his expertise and support.

Dr Casula is a very well mannered gentleman. I went in for a stent and had to have a triple bypass after various tests. Dr Casula explained everything as many times as I needed. I can't thank him enough, I am still recovering but glad he has given me a new lease of life. Bless him and continue the great work.

Mr Casula has helped me regain my fitness through his tremendous ability, experience and empathy. He guided me preoperatively and explained the options in great detail reassuring me and keeping me in the decision making all the way. His experience and dedication to his work was outstanding and this shone through in the operation and after care phases. I can only be grateful to have come across such a caring and skilled surgeon who meticulously took great care of me. Needless to say I would highly recommend him and his team.

Dr Casula's quietly confident manner is incredibly reassuring, when you are facing such major surgery. Nothing was witheld about what to expect or how you would feel after surgery, everything was clearly explained.

As a 63 years old man, that never had any experience of surgery in his life, i approached this event with some dread. Mr Casula, an italian like myself, helped me tremendously. we both speak english but it goes without saying that talking the same language helped. A real pro, Mr Casula told me things as they were and even spoke to members of my family to help them help me understand why i truly need to do this. Day 10 now, i feel like a Ferrari Testa Rossa has been implanted in my body! I will have to slow down!!
