Mr Usman Saeed completed his undergraduate studies in medicine in 1997. He is a Consultant Eye Surgeon currently working in St. Helier, Sutton and Epsom Hospitals in London and Surrey. He has a specialist interest in general ophthalmology and conditions including lid conditions, corneal conditions, inflammatory eye diseases, cataracts, glaucoma, and retinal conditions including laser treatment for retinal and post-cataract conditions. He is one of the UK's experts in Cataract surgery, laser treatments, retinal disorders and retinal conditions like diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and uveitis (inflammatory eye conditions).

Usman undertook his speciality training in Ophthalmology at St. Paul's Eye Unit Liverpool and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists of London in 2010. At the same time, he was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Usman is actively involved in research and has published more than 35 peer-reviewed publications in medical journals. Additionally, he regularly presents his work at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists annual congresses, American Society of cataract and refractive surgery, World Ophthalmology congress, European society of cataract and refractive surgery and Pakistan society of cataract and refractive surgery. He is also a reviewer of many international peer-reviewed journals.
