Although I was naturally feeling extremely anxious in going to see the Consultant regarding my condition, I was immediately put at ease by Mr Davies's polite and caring manner. He listened fully to my concerns and explained patiently, in language which I could readily understand, the reasons for my condition and the detailed manner in which it could be successfully treated. I felt reassured by his patient-centred approach and that he took the time, both prior to and subsequent to the necessary surgery, to ensure that I was comfortable and confident about my treatment. As a result, I felt able to anticipate a full recovery. I have since fully recovered and am extremely grateful for his professional expertise and would not hesitate in recommending his services to others or using them again myself.

Despite COVID restrictions the initial appointment was made quickly. The initial consultation was clear and covered all possible outcomes with considerable reassurance. Due to COVID once again, the procedure was delayed. During the waiting time Mr Davies kept me full informed on the position and provided reassurance once again. The procedure appointment was made quite quickly thereafter. The procedure itself was very professional and Mr Davies explained exactly what was happening all through the process. His calm and jovial manner helped a lot, so much so that no sedative was required! It was very obvious that the theatre team had great respect of Mr Davies and they worked together very well. I must also commend the team. I was debriefed following the procedure, well looked after and proceeded home. Mr Davies subsequently used text and telephone to enquire as to my post procedure wellbeing and a final sign-off was done over the phone which I was very happy with. I would thoroughly recommend Mr Davies's professional skill and excellent 'customer care'.

Mark and his team were absolutely fantastic from very First phone call and consultation Right the way through every stage of my treatment. During difficult pandemic times Mark was so professional and extremely easy to chat with. I was never made to feel like I was just another face passing through and felt like I had known him years.

Mr Davies is very down to earth and clear in his explanations. He is obviously an expert in his field, and easily made me feel confident and comfortable before surgery. He and his team are maintaining care in the two years since the operation which was surprisingly painless considering he was removing a substantial part of my colon. Being able to have faith and confidence in the surgeon in charge of your treatment is a massive boost when preparing for, and recovering from, a major operation, and I am most grateful to Mr Davies and his team for their professionalism and expertise.

Needing a Hernia repair during covid times was a worry , but from the first consultation Mark put me at ease . He is very professional and accommodating and I felt confident in him .

I found Mr Davies to be thoroughly professional in all aspects of care, he was approachable and took the time to explain the procedure i was about to have and therefore helped me to put aside any worries that i had regarding the same. I am pleased to say that i have made a complete recovery which i believe is down to the outstanding care i received whilst a patient at Sancta Maria Hospital.

Mr Mark Davies is an excellent competent and caring Consultant . I was taken into hospital in severe pain and Mr Davies looked after me. He gave me all the tests that was needed and I was diagnosed with an inflamed gallbladder. He expertly treated me and in know time at all I was out of pain and he told me I needed to have my gallbladder removed. He took time to answer all my questions and quickly put my mind at ease. I understand there is quite a long backlog of operations on the waiting list with the NHS. so I I have decided to go private and have my gallbladder removed. I have asked at Santa Maria for Mr Mark Davies to do my operation as I have every faith in him and in my opinion he has proved to be a very competent and trustworthy Consultant.
