I was first introduced to Marc Laniado in March 2020 (at the beginning of the Covid lockdown). The NHS was unable to treat me following an initial TU Biopsy which showed the presence of prostate cancer but not the precise grade or extent. A TP biopsy was needed. During the subsequent 3-year period under Mr Laniado’s care, his advice and treatments were exemplary. I was offered an immediate TP Biopsy followed by mpMRI scans, PSMA/PET CT scans, a HoLEP procedure, and finally a HIFU procedure. The cancer is now in total remission (PSA 0.3) and he has discharged me from further consultations and treatment subject only to routine PSA tests on a six-monthly frequency for the next 3 years. At every stage he was careful to explain the procedures and tests in detail, together with the risks and potential after-effects, in a highly professional manner. The success of my treatments are a testament to his widespread expertise and surgical skills.

Mr Laniado gives me exactly what I needed at the time in a situation - I had a Stage 2 Prostate Cancer - which is frightening and unknown. He treaded exactly the right line between being frank and decisive and also making you feel you are part of the process and your thoughts matter. I cannot speak for his technical capabilities except to say I have recovered well with no major side-effects. I would certainly put this down to his expertise and that of his team. I also liked his holistic approach in terms of diet, alcohol and exercise which contributed to my recovery and hopefully to my continued good health.

His level of energy and committment is staggering. I believe his knowledge of his given speciality is profound. He promotes his belief in the use of HIFU for treatment of early prostate cancer. I have received this treatment from Mr. Laniado with 100% ablation destruction to the tumour and no side effects. Marc Laniado saves lives!
