Hi, I was diagnosed with suspected prostate cancer in January 2014, aged 59. It was confirmed after having a series of scans and a biopsy in May. After a consultation with Marc Laniado, I decided to have my prostate removed, obviously I felt nervous, but there was no need, the operation was carried out in June robotically, everything went well, I felt no pain, the medical staff were very considerate and I returned to work six weeks later two years on I have no problems. After going into complete and total water retention I was fortunately directed to Marc Laniado who quickly diagnosed that I actually had an enormous prostrate caused by BPH. As I come from a very sporting background it has been my misfortune over the years to meet many consultants for many various injuries and conditions of all kinds. But I found Marc Laniado to be absolutely head and shoulders above every other Consultant I've ever met before. Quite apart from being a brilliant surgeon who uses all of the latest techniques ,he is by far the most caring ,patient, understanding and accommodating doctor I have ever dealt with. On more than one occasion having being woken from his sleep at 2 o'clock in the morning he was with me within half an hour sorting out my discomfort. On top of which for the frequent attention that I needed, he was always there for me every second . Nothing was too much trouble for him and he was so kind, and skillful and helpful in every way. Also the after Care he provides is equally as exceptional, and he always responds quickly to emails and telephone calls and texts. He is always contactable, always so efficient , understanding, and caring and helpful . I'm sure you've probably got the picture by now just how high my regard is for Mr. Laniado, and I would say to anybody that reads this ..if you ever need a Urologist for anything, look no further than this man as you will not find any better man anywhere in my opinion. He is a Doctor who has great skills, modern thinking, and highly experienced in all modern procedures and gives totally unbelievable care to his patients from start to finish . And guess what.. on top of all of that he is also a really really nice guy and you will not do better believe me. A selling point for Marc when I was selecting a private urologist for my sudden LUTS symptoms, was that he can do the HOLEP type re-bore of a prostate (which I believed from my reading, would be ideal for my poor flow and frequency issues - and it was); the samples removed through HOLEP can be also be tested for cancer, unlike the NHS's greenlight laser re-bore operation, where no intact tissue is removed. The only other uro' in the South East I could find not too far from London who does HOLEP, was Ben Challacombe, who cites a typical total HOLEP cost of £6k to £7k on his website (if insured, Ben warns on the web that patients are likely to up paying a surplus as the bill exceeds insurance limits). Marc fell within my insurer's limits so I'd nothing to pay, he has done a fair number of holep operations, and Windsor was a convenient site for my wife to drive me home from after the op (she won't drive in Central London at all), so after consultations, tests, cystoscopy and a prostate biopsy, all of which went well, I entrusted him with the Holep. He is willing to share data, scans,test results and even links to a video of your operation by email so you have it on file for the future. He also sent letters at key points to my GP, copied also to me, informing her of the diagnosis and treatment. I don't think any man goes to a urologist other than reluctantly because circumstances force him to, but with Mr Laniado it was probably as easy as it can be.

from the time Marc told me I had prostrate cancer, in a very caring manner, to the day the op was done, my worries were but at bay, especially when Marc emailed me with the negative , prostrate and negative in the lymph nodes. , also told me he had nerve spared where feasible . The next sate was when the caffeta was removed , and no worries on holding and doing urine. A statement to his professional skil and dedication he has. I would highly recommend Marc for anyone who has the problem I faced. Truly very happy with the outcome.

I've been treated (Brachytherapy) by Marc and his team for early stage prostrate cancer. Marc has been professional, competent, polite and caring.
