I qualified in Zimbabwe in 1983 and then moved to the UK to do my post graduate training in Orthopaedic Surgery. I passed the English and Edinburgh FRCS exams in 1988 started my registrar training in Sheffield. I subsequently moved to Cambridge in 1991 as a senior registrar and had the opportunity to work with Mr David Dandy who pioneered arthroscopic surgery in the UK.

I then undertook a Fellowship in arthroscopic surgery in Adelaide, South Australia in 1993/4 before starting as a consultant at Addenbrooke's Teaching Hospital, Cambridge in January 1995.

I was appointed as a Knee and Trauma surgeon but with a particular interest in knee reconstruction, chondral, meniscal and ligamentous surgery. I also do the majority of the knee replacements and knee revision surgery here in Cambridge. I retain a particular interest in sports surgery and regenerative surgery of the knee.

As a part his regular practice he runs a seasonal ski clinic and looks after a number of rugby, football, hockey, netball, athletic teams and sports players.
