My experience with Mr. Day was excellent. He thoroughly explained the operation and recovery, and reassured me on any doubts or questions that I had and even took the time to personally check on me while I was in recovery the days following the operation.

Mr Day was very thorough and explained the options and the procedure in good detail. On the day, he was a consummate professional and dispelled any concerns I may have had and performed the operation quickly and without any discomfort. The results are excellent. I wasn't quite sure what to expect after the first eye had been done but I received a post-op call the next day and if I had had any worries, Mr Day was on hand to discuss them. He went on to perform numerous tests and checks before going ahead with the second eye to ensure that the lens he had selected was just right. I am very pleased with the results!

Alex has now operated on both eyes and has restored my vision - as I said to him his work is “Lazatusesque”! My experience with Mr Day was excellent. I had contacted Mr Day's practice in connection with an advanced / mature cataract in my right eye resulting from an injury, and a less developed 'nuclear' cataract in my left eye. The mature cataract in my right eye had reduced my vision in that eye to a hazy blur, and the vision in my left eye was not quite so bad, but still very poor. I also suffered from what was apparently quite a severe astigmatism, and short-sightedness. I should also say that I found the prospect of eye surgery more than a little frightening. At my initial consultation, Mr Day was very willing to explain everything I might want to know about the procedure, the available options for lenses and the relative merits of each, and the potential risks associated with the procedure in general terms and dependent on my choice of lens. It was very apparent that he was keen to get the possible vision outcome for me, taking full account of my preferences, both as regards risk and my outcome. Once the relevant decisions had been made, and the first operation was scheduled I felt sufficiently well informed to be relatively relaxed. The operation itself was conducted by Mr Day in a very calm and professional manner, during which I was reasssuringly kept informed of progress throughout. The whole procedure (consultation followed by operation) was repeated for the left eye promptly and as soon as was judged appropriate. Care was taken by Mr Day to ensure that the most appropriate lens was used (different to that used in the right eye) to ensure that the optimum vision outcome according to my preference for good close range focus be achieved, taking into account both the current vision in my right eye, and potential risks. The upshot is that I am now able to see clearly in a way I haven't been able to see for years (if ever), my astigmatism has been much reduced, my depth perception has been improved hugely, and overall it has increased my quality of life profoundly, something for which I am exceedingly grateful. Throughout the process of consultations and follow-ups, Mr Day has been sincere, approachable and considerate, and his skill at surgery speaks for itself, insofar as the operations were much less of an ordeal than I might have imagined, there were no complications during surgery, there have been none since, and I am now able to see in a way that seemed unimaginable just a couple of months ago. I would have no absolutely no hesitation in recommending without reservation Mr Day to anyone who might benefit from his expertise.
