I received excellent care from Dr Sarkhel. He is a true professional who cares about his patients. He is available and approachable. Dr. Sarkhel structured an integrated approach to my case involving both therapy and medication, carefully explaining all options and suggestions. The approach was highly effective and pulled me out of an extremely tricky place. I still cannot believe how rapidly Dr Sarkhel stabilized me from a full-on 'tailspin', in which I was when I first came to see him, and how much better I feel and function now. I am immensely thankful to him.

I attended Dr Sarkhel's clinic for a review of my diagnosis and long term treatment plan. I was quite nervous prior to the session but I found Dr Sarkhel to be very warm, reassuring and non-judgemental. I had filled in some information beforehand relating to past experience of illness which we reviewed and discussed in clinic. Dr Sarkhel gave fresh insight in to my symptoms and diagnosis, and used psychoeducation to give me a more empowering understanding of my condition. He also suggested supplementary mindfulness strategies- he employs a holistic approach which I feel is of upmost importance. My relative has been suffering a breakdown caused by depression and we reached out to Dr Arghya Sarkhel for and appointment. My relative is now on medication that suits his situation and is improving from just one visit. Although he has still has a battle and will progress in time with Dr Arghyas professional assistance we are all so positive in his future now. Dr Sarkhel’s professionalism, compassion, knowledge and modesty really make him stand out, and he has always gone the extra mile to help me. Initially I was just looking for the best all-round specialist in the UK to try rTMS with, but I’ve found his balanced approach towards psychiatric treatment an incredibly refreshing change. Unlike some private psychiatrists in London where the primary focus is on their own finances, or sadly NHS mental health services that aren’t fit-for-purpose, I’ve always felt Dr Sarkhel has put my wellbeing first when it has come to managing bipolar disorder. With his help alongside the support of an endocrinologist colleague he recommended I have made great progress over the last year.
