Excellent at explaining my bipolar to me and helping me understand it. Couldn’t ask for a better doctor

Dr Sarkhel is very easy to talk to and comes across as very compassionate and non judgemental. He appeared to truly understand me and gave me hope that I can get better. He gives very thorough explanations and has made it very clear as to what my expectations in regard to recovery should be and a timescale. I feel 100% happy to be under his expert care and feel very positive of my future mental health.

At first I was nervous of the first session but immediately Dr Sarkhel put me at ease and showed his care for my situation. A few more sessions in and every week he is able to help me further cure my long entrenched anxieties and depressive traits. Would recommend him to anyone going through tough times. Dr Sarkhel is very kind and makes you feel like you are an individual, remembering things about you personally that means you feel more than just a number. He has helped me on my darkest days, and is always available when you need him. He has been great in determining what medication I need which has made such a difference. Unlike other psychiatrists I have used, he does not put you on the highest dosage. He carefully determines your position and prescribed accordingly. Highly recommend!

I have been delighted at the way Dr Sarkhel has related to me as a patient. He has been informative, respectful and treated me dignity. He has related to me as a fellow professional, which I am and has given me the sense of being treated as an equal. He has been attentive and helpful in his advice and the way in which he has fielded any questions that I have asked. His response has be surprisingly quick, which I have appreciated. He has made every effort to put me at ease and to make me feel comfortable with both the diagnostic process and in subsequent consultations. There is an ease to his manner, which has come across in all my dealings with him so far.I like the way that he carries his knowledge and experience and therefore wisdom, easily and I am genuinely impressed by him.

Dr Sarkhel has provided me with with wonderful medical care since last year. He is approachable, professional, clear in his explanation and extremely effective in his treatment. The best part of the treatment is his ability to combine pharmaceutical treatment (anti-depressants, in my case), with counselling, including mindfulness training. The combination was effetive in alleviating acute symptoms of depression and anxiety disorder during a flare-up but then also equipping to become self-reliant, symptom-free and motivated to come off the medication when I felt ready. Most recently, I have received advice from him on beginning to taper off my anti-depressants. I am very satisfied with the treatment I received.
