Finding yourself in hospital with depression and anxiety is something no-one can prepare you for. This makes it really important that the therapists are skilled in their work and specialist areas. I was fortunate enough to be allocated an excellent one called Sanchari who supported me through my stay.

My daughter is autistic and suffers from a severe eating disorder. The eating disorder team at Hayes Grove did a wonderful job looking after her, particularly the consultant Dr Lauren Gavaghan and the ward manager Aisha Kibirige and many of the support staff. As a family we will always be grateful for their care and support.

I havegained a greater sense of self and life's choices through my sessions. I now have a path toward acceptance of my self and others as well as a sronger ability to make connections which had escaped my grasp. I feel more at ease in new situations and can readily contribute.

My experience was overwhelming at first but after a while I started to make progress. The experience as a whole is not one I want to repeat but I am so very grateful to all of the staff for helping me in my recovery process. I’m not sure what would have happened to me had I not stayed at Hayes Grove and I will forever be thankful that I did.

When I first arrived at the priory I was in a terrible state with very high anxiety and in a really bad way. Though hard work and support and guidance from Sanchari Lahiri and from great help with Dr Broadhead I have come a long way and can now understand and cope with my emotions and deal with challenges as I face them. They have also helped me understand my other relationshipd and interprer other areas of my life that had been causing me stress.

Professional team of therapists, doctors, nurses and HCA. Hard hitting, truth finding therapy. Best chance given of a full recovery. Best rehab by far.

From the first contact with the Admissions team to the moment I left, I felt cared for. The compassion, support, friendliness and positivity of every member of staff I came in to contact with (bar 1) was truly inspiring to me. I was well fed, educated, exercised and relaxed into a state of contentment I've not felt in a very long time. Of course there were ups and downs during my 4 week stay, but I found if I asked for help, there were people ready to listen and take action. If you're willing to put in the work and foster a caring environment with your fellow patients, there is a high chance that you will leave in a better state that the one you went in. Expect also to gain 10lbs and eat like a king!
