Excellant surgery, management and post op care

Had an excellent outcome with my shoulder replacement. Can not fault the service I had from the surgeon.

We were seen promptly and Dr Singh was so helpful. Calm considering it was a fairly serious injury and excellent advice/care.

Good manner and explained in simple terms all that was going to happen, together with expected outcomes. 10 months on after a double hip replacement and walking out of the hospital unaided two days after surgery, I'm back to badminton, golf and five-a-side football.

I have now seen Mr Sherif El-Tawil twice and he has been so reassuring and explained all my options in considerable detail. I truly am so delighted that he is my orthopaedic surgeon and have every confidence in his skills.

A very knowledgeable and approachable surgeon, however it was quite disappointing that my concerns regarding the ongoing knee instability following the ACL reconstruction surgery he performed hadn’t been taken into account in a timely manner. I had to seek an opinion from another consultant, who arranged the MRI and other appropriate tests, and confirmed that the surgery wasn’t completely successful.

Right from my initial consultation,I felt completely at ease with Mr Davidson. He has a calm,clear and concise manner,and is evidently an expert in his field. The explanations as to how things were to proceed were exactly what was needed as a patient. His work was fantastic,and has made a huge difference to my standard of living,the pain is gone..... it's fabulous.

Dr Farah was excellent. He had read and reflected on the medical notes and situation and undertook an excellent assessment. He was also very empathetic and kind and looked at the medical situation holistically.

Had a full right hip replacement at age 50 in January 2024 after being diagnosed with AVN of the femoral head a couple years prior. Was told to get on with my life in 2021 and come back when it was bad enough and so I tried to push off as wasn’t keen to go through the hassle or pain . 4 months post op I am very happy with the results and have only positive things to say about Professor Field, his anaesthetist Dr Hussein and Zoe who runs the office super efficiently . Can honestly say pain post op wasn’t bad and didn’t need pain killers within a few days after the op . Was up on crutches same day as the op. Did feel tired and a bit under the weather at times first 3-4 weeks but could do everything bar put a sock on ! Professor Field never rushed me in appointments and always tried to explain everything in details , I would definitely recommend him and his team .

Mr White is an excellent surgeon. The most reassuring aspect of his care is a reluctance to operate without exploring non-invasive avenues first. He is patient kind, encouraging and caring and explained everything thoroughly. He is supported by a first rate team, particularly his secretary and anaesthetist. Would I recommend him? I already have.
