I felt comfortable with Mr Lee from our first consultation, he was very clear in his explanation of what was required for my operation/s which went really well and recovery has been excellent, I find Mr Lee to be an excellent surgeon with a can do and caring attitude, I would 100% recommend him to anyone requiring surgery.. My experience from start finish was excellent. I was thoroughly given all the information prior to surgery and very well looked after during and after. Before meeting Mr Akula I had a herniated disc L5-S1 and I was in constant agony. I'm now 9 weeks post op and i already feel like I've got my life back.

I could not recommend Mr Mokawem enough after the treatment and care he has given me for my scoliosis. Every appointment we had, we are always approached with a reassuring and calm manner, and feeling fully informed on our possible options. We were meant to go ahead with surgery, yet after the Multi-Disciplinary Meeting took place, we were told that in my current position, they should not operate until further investigation had taken place. This just shows how incredible this team is, willing to postpone the surgery as something was not quite adding up. However, after thorough investigation, the surgery went ahead. He always left me choice throughout this process, listing all of the benefits and drawbacks of each stage. I was operated on at the RNOH, and almost every day, Mr Mokawem would come and see me. On around day 3, he came in and asked me if I wanted to stand and go for a short walk. I didn’t as this was one of the days I felt the most sore, but after some time chatting with him, he reassured me and supported me to push myself. I could not be more grateful for Mr Mokawem and his team’s care, and would highly recommend him to anyone! He has been hugely reassuring both to me and my parents.
