I had a nerve problem in my back causing severe pain. Two other specialists had told me I either needed to live with the pain or have an operation. Mr Aylott examined me and explained that I had other choices. Within a week I had a spinal injection and have been painfree since. Mr Aylott is thorough, kind, highly professional and skilled. I would recommend him highly.

When I first came to Doctor Sian, I was in a very bad way with prolapsed discs and chronic pain, as a result this had impacted my mental health to a very dark place. I had lost the ability to live my normal life because of pain and fear. Doctor Sian was the first person to acknowledge my situation properly after years of being treated less well by other Doctors. After a warning from the neurosurgeon & oncologist who had been monitoring the regrowth of my meningioma in September 2023 that it required surgery & as it was a second operation it was at high risk of stroke, bleeding, bone infection, going through old scar tissue, the tumour was pressing against a large vein. My daughter suggested I sought a second opinion, we chose Mr Shoakazemi who also specialises in my type of brain tumour.  He confirmed…the risks were very high indeed, the brain tumour had grown too big for fractionated radiotherapy and surgery through the old wound of some 20 + years ago was the only option. We found Mr Shoakazemi to be extremely approachable, professional, calm, warm & informative.  I feel incredibly lucky to have had the faith on a date said to be the unluckiest day in the yearly calendar …Friday 13th October to undergo surgery with such a gifted neurosurgeon.
