Mr Kumar carried out my first hip replacement some 4 years ago, and then my other hip replacement about 18 months ago. I was referred to him as an NHS patient and both operations were carried out at the Alexandra hospital in Cheadle. Mr Kumar impressed me from the very first appointment, he listens, explains, and rapidly made me feel confident that I was going to be in his experienced and capable hands. The first operation went very well, and a rapid recovery was made. The other hip replacement eventually needed doing and Mr Kumar kindly agreed to carry out the surgery. Once again my experience was of excellent care, I am delighted with the hips and feel decades younger. I would without any hesitation highly recommend Mr Kumar, a caring person with great skill and an excellent doctor patient manner. Thank you.

Having been very apprehensive about having my hip operation and the impact on my life I really felt Brinda Somanchi put me at ease and really explained the procedure in detail making me feel much more prepared to have the procedure. Once the surgery had been completed and I was in recovery he came to see me to see to see how I was feeling and to discuss the operation explaining everything had gone as planned and there was no complications or problems and he would again come to see me the following day. The day after he came to see me to discuss hip movements and next stages. He even personally agreed a review appointment to remove the staples when needed and this was followed up with a confirmation letter. We had a very good chat about exactly what was involved in the procedure and materials were used and how they would interact with my joints and body short, medium and long term. Overall I felt very supported by Brinda Somanchi in every area and knowing I have to have my other hip done when this one has healed fills me with confidence and know when they have both been done my quality of life will be drastically improved for which I am extremely grateful. I highly recommend him after having a very very positive experience.
