On the 3 April I was given the news (with an almost 80% certainty) that I had breast cancer – it picked me. My husband & I were sent away with a list of around 11 hospitals, each with 3 / 4 consultants against them and told to choose one that I would then be referred to the following day. After researching everything from expertise (all clearly had excellent qualifications!), specific procedures each had covered in the field, patient reviews (re. their soft, medical and aftercare skills), peer reviews, papers they’d written, etc. Cheryl Lobo stood out from an incredibly impressive crowd. We picked her… On 12 April I was lucky enough to be in my first consultation with Miss Lobo. Lucky not just with the speed, but with the person. Cheryl Lobo has exceeded all my hopes and expectations. She has been everything I have needed to help take me through this process (alongside the incredible love & support I still receive from my fantastic family and friends). She does not mince her words, but fills you with confidence. Within minutes of our first meeting she confirmed my Breast cancer diagnosis, but in the very next sentence told me how she intended to ‘treat to cure me’, which she has continued to do. I have already had 2 operations under Miss Lobo (following the spread of my cancer), carried out with the skill and cohesive care of she and the amazing MDT at the Wellington (special shout out for the Breast CNS Kate Newson who I know will be my go-to person throughout; but in all honesty all the staff I have met have been lovely!). At no point have I had the time, or inclination, to feel sorry for myself. Miss Lobo has moved all parts of the process along at an unbelievable speed and efficiency – including initiating totally different surgery I was incidentally found to need from my PET scan! She has shown a natural empathy and genuine care for me as her patient, checking on me outside ‘normal’ work hours or clarifying parts of the process she anticipated I would likely be concerned over. Like anyone else I would have clearly have preferred not to have had cancer; but having it, I now feel blessed to be in the hands of Cheryl Lobo and the MD team at the Wellington. (JMc, London)

Very impressed and happy with my treatment

I have had several surgeries performed by Mr Blackburn following a left breast mastectomy; a removal of a breast expander, capsulectomy and DIEP flap, then a year later, nipple reconstruction, right symmetrising breast reduction and lipomodelling of the left breast. What cancer took away, Mr Blackburn has well and truly replaced. His expertise and skill in recreating my breast is phenominal and I am no longer reminded of breast cancer, every time I dress. What helped throughout, was Mr Blackburn's kind and caring manner. He always put me at ease and never let me leave without answering all of my questions and concerns. This support continued well beyond the operations - I was able to contact him at any time for reassurance regarding how things were healing etc. I never felt I was alone during the process or worried about how things were proceeding. I can highly recommend Mr Blackburn as a skilled, professional and empathetic surgeon who will be there for you from the very start to the end of your procedures.

I recently underwent a breast mastopexy and areola reduction with Mr. Matti and I couldn't be happier with the results. I chose not to get implants. One concern before the surgery was that I might not have enough volume if I went ahead without implants, but Mr. Matti worked wonders. Remarkably, my breasts look fuller now, even without implants, as if he created something out of nothing! Mr. Matti made me feel incredibly comfortable and reassured throughout the entire process. His professionalism and warm demeanor put me at ease, making what could have been a stressful experience smooth and worry-free. The overall experience was nothing short of perfect. There were no complications, and the follow-up appointments went extremely well. I felt very taken care of. I highly recommend Mr. Matti to anyone considering a similar procedure. His skill and attention to detail are truly exceptional. If I decide to have any other procedures in the future, I will definitely return to him. My breasts used to be a huge insecurity of mine but now I am so happy with them! Thank you Mr. Matti for the amazing transformation and the confidence you've given me!

I am very pleased with the support, services and treatment, as well as postoperative support I have received from Mr Ho-Asjoe. He did a very good job and I am very satisfied with the procedure.

Helpful and very reassuring

Dr Erel was the second dr I had a consultation with when going for my chin lipo. When I met Dr Erel I felt so much more at ease than the other dr I spoke to from another team in central london. I knew I was in the right place. I am now 6 weeks post op and I do not regret my decision. Dr Erel was very transparent with the procedure and told me not to worry as he would make sure I am not scared during the procedure. During the procedure Dr Erel and his team had some background music playing and Dr Erel even sang a few lyrics, all of this helped towards making sure I was not anxious and it truly worked. I am happy with my results and I can see the difference, however it is not a crazy difference where people have noticed, rather it is a subtle change which had greatly enhanced my confidence. The nurses were also very kind and supportive during my short stay. I felt very cared for. The receptionist are also always easy to get ahold of and dedicated a lot of time to any queries I had.
