The subtotal hysterectomy I had to resolve severe fibroid issues was performed amazingly, I healed well within the expected 6 week timeframe and everything has been smooth sailing without any pain or much discomfort since. I saw Dr Penman for both of my pregnancies for a Nuchal Scan with Gender, then later for Late Growth scans. He was so patient when the babies weren't in the right position to get the best images, and he made sure I understood all the measurements he was taking.
