Ms Siobhan Galvin

Ms Siobhán Galvin is an accredited psychotherapist and the Owner/Manager of Empathy Counselling. She has more than 20 years of experience working with adult clients aged 18 years and over.

She completed her initial psychotherapy training at the Tivoli Institute in Dún Laoghaire and practices from a humanistic framework. Her therapeutic approach integrates psychodynamic psychotherapy with person-centred, body psychotherapy, and solution-focused approaches. She also undertakes ongoing continuing professional development to support her clinical practice.

Before qualifying as a psychotherapist, Ms Galvin worked in nursing and occupational health roles within industry. She subsequently held management positions within Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) services and worked across a range of counselling and psychotherapy organisations, including Pieta House, Health Service Executive National Counselling Service (The Arches), Counselling in Primary Care (CIPC), Living Life Counselling, and Towards Healing.

Her academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Psychology, a Master of Science (MSc) in Psychology, and a Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Psychotherapy. She is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).
