Dr Justin Roche

Dr. Justin Roche is a highly experienced Consultant Paediatrician, specialising in the field of Tongue Tie. He is the Medical Director of the National Tongue Tie Centre, dedicating over a decade to his specialised clinic. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) and a Fellow of The Faculty of Paediatrics, Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. 

His interest and involvement in the field of Tongue Tie date back to 1999 when his first daughter was born. When she was just five days old, she underwent a procedure to divide her tongue tie. This personal experience and the desire to enhance care for individuals facing similar challenges led him to begin training in dividing tongue ties. He has been actively treating tongue ties since 2008 and has been leading a dedicated tongue tie clinic since 2010.

Dr. Roche has dedicated his time to attending various conferences and courses on tongue tie. He has served as a former board member of the International Consortium of Ankyloglossia Professionals (ICAP) and is recognised as a Fellow of the American Laser Study Club.

Currently, Dr.  Roche and his team assess and perform tongue tie divisions, sometimes in conjunction with lip tie divisions, for over a thousand infants, children, and adults each year. His passion for improving the quality of life for those affected by tongue tie has driven his commitment to this specialised field of medicine, making him a recognised authority in the management and treatment of tongue tie. Dr. Roche has also shared his expertise by presenting on the subject at international conferences, further contributing to the advancement of knowledge and care in this area.
