Dr. Yousif Eltayeb

Dr Yousif El Tayab is a highly experienced Consultant General Surgeon at Medcare Hospital Al Safa, with a broad surgical portfolio and international experience in Sudan, Ireland, and the UAE. He completed his MBBCh with Honours in Cairo, followed by a Master’s in Clinical Surgery from Khartoum. He holds fellowships from prestigious institutions, including the FRCSI (Ireland), FRCS (UK), and a qualification in Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) from France.

Dr El Tayab has served in several prominent clinical and academic roles, including Consultant General Surgeon at the University of Juba, South Sudan; General Surgeon and Lecturer at the National University College Hospital, Galway, Ireland; and as a Consultant General Surgeon in a leading hospital in Dubai.

His surgical expertise includes the management of both benign and malignant gastrointestinal conditions. He routinely performs procedures involving the gastrointestinal tract, thyroid, hernias, anorectal conditions, breast diseases, and trauma-related surgery.

Dr El Tayab is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Asia Pacific Hernia Association, a member of the Emirates Medical Association, and serves on the Court of Examiners for the Royal Colleges of Surgery in the UK, Glasgow, and Ireland.
