Dr Yasser Abdou

Dr. Yasser Abdou – Specialist Pediatrician and Neonatologist

Dr. Yasser Abdou is a Specialist Pediatrician and Neonatologist with more than 19 years of clinical and academic experience in the care of newborns, infants, and children. He has a special focus on preterm neonates, postnatal follow-up, pediatric emergencies, and advanced intensive care for critically ill children.

Dr. Yasser completed his medical training at Al-Azhar University, Egypt, where he obtained his MBBCh in 2005, followed by a Master’s Degree in Pediatrics and Neonatology in 2012, and an MD/PhD in Pediatrics and Neonatology in 2019. He later became a Consultant in Pediatrics and Neonatology through the Egyptian Medical Syndicate and was appointed Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Neonatology at Al-Azhar University in 2023.

His clinical expertise includes newborn care, neonatal intensive care, pediatric pulmonology, respiratory diseases, growth and development monitoring, genetic disorders, neurological and nutritional conditions, childhood anemia, gastrointestinal disorders, and comprehensive childhood immunization programs.

Before joining Gargash Hospital, Dr. Yasser worked at Women and Children Hospital in Al Qassim, Saudi Arabia, and at Saudi German Hospital in Ajman and Sharjah. Alongside his clinical work, he has contributed to medical education as a lecturer in Pediatrics at universities in Sharjah and Ajman.
