Dr. Wisam Elayan

Dr. Wisam Elayan is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon currently practicing at Emirates Hospital Jumeirah. He completed his medical degree (MBBS) at the University of Göttingen, Germany (2006) and is certified by the German Board of Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery.

Following his graduation, Dr. Elayan began his career at the University of Göttingen Hospital, where he worked as an Attending Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgeon until 2015. He then served as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the academic hospitals affiliated with the University of Münster, continuing there until 2018.

Dr. Elayan’s clinical expertise covers a wide range of orthopedic and trauma procedures, including knee and hip replacements, knee arthroscopy, and cruciate ligament reconstruction. He also manages ACL, meniscus, and cartilage injuries, sports-related injuries, and geriatric fractures. His practice further includes conservative management of orthopedic conditions, pediatric traumatology, and polytrauma care (Level II).

With extensive training and experience in Germany and the UAE, Dr. Elayan provides comprehensive orthopedic care with a focus on restoring function and mobility through both surgical and non-surgical approaches.
