Dr. Wajdi Hamdan is a highly skilled Consultant General Surgeon with expertise in bariatric surgery, advanced laparoscopy, and minimally invasive colorectal surgery. He specialises in a wide range of surgeries, including anti-reflux, hernias, digestive tract procedures, and breast and endocrine surgeries (thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal).
Born in Beirut, Dr. Hamdan holds a BS in Biology, an MS in Human Physiology, and an MD from the American University of Beirut. He completed a five-year General Surgery Residency at the American University of Beirut Medical Center and pursued two fellowships in the United States: Minimally Invasive Colorectal Surgery at Jefferson, Philadelphia, and Advanced Foregut Laparoscopy and Bariatric Surgery at Beth Israel Medical Center, New York.
Dr. Hamdan is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a member of prestigious organisations such as the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO). Fluent in both English and Arabic, he provides top-notch care to his patients with a focus on advanced and minimally invasive surgical techniques.

Before I made my decision for a surgery, Dr. Wajdi made sure I understood the outcomes, risks, and the future of the option I would decide to take. He was clear and he made sure he explained it in ways I will understand. The surgery went without a hitch and with his expert hands I am back walking after a couple of days. His post-op care is one of the best. Very reassuring and above all, always reachable on the phone.
