Dr. Wail Elfar

Dr Wail Elfar is a highly experienced orthopaedic surgeon with over 20 years of expertise in treating bone, joint, and spinal conditions. He has worked in leading hospitals across Cairo and the Gulf region, specialising in trauma surgery, sports injuries, spinal surgery, and joint replacement procedures.

Dr Elfar previously served as Vice Head of the Spine Surgery Unit at Nasser Medical City for Research & Treatment in Cairo. His expertise includes both surgical and non-surgical management of spinal conditions, including back and neck pain, spinal infections, tumours, and deformities such as scoliosis and kyphosis. He is skilled in minimally invasive spinal procedures, including microscopic surgery and spinal fusion.

In addition, Dr Elfar specialises in sports injuries affecting the knee, shoulder, and ankle. He performs advanced arthroscopic (keyhole) procedures, including ACL and meniscus repairs, shoulder decompression, and rotator cuff surgery. He also provides joint treatments for osteoarthritis, using both non-surgical injections and joint replacement surgery for the hip, knee, and shoulder.
