Dr. Veira Amarin

Dr Veira Amarin is a highly experienced Consultant Obstetrician, Gynaecologist and Feto-Maternal Medicine Specialist with more than three decades of clinical, academic and leadership experience. She has held senior consultant positions within the Royal Medical Services of Jordan and has undertaken advanced fellowship training in Fetal Medicine in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Dr Amarin has a particular interest in high-risk pregnancy care, prenatal diagnosis and advanced obstetric ultrasound. Her expertise covers both low- and high-risk pregnancies, maternal–fetal medicine, first trimester screening between 11 and 14 weeks, chromosomal abnormality screening, and invasive prenatal procedures such as chorionic villus sampling (CVS). She is also highly experienced in the management of multiple pregnancies, pre-eclampsia and other pregnancy complications, as well as labour management, caesarean section, complex obstetric care and comprehensive postpartum care.

She obtained her MBBS from Saint Petersburg Pavlov State Medical University and holds the Jordanian Board in Obstetrics and Gynaecology as well as the Jordanian Board in Fetal Medicine Subspecialty. Her additional qualifications include certification in Fetal Medicine, a Certificate of Competency in Ultrasound (11–14 weeks) from CFTS Australia, and a Clinical Fellowship in Fetal Medicine at the University of New South Wales in Sydney.

Dr Amarin is actively involved in professional organisations and is a member of the Jordan Medical Association, the Jordan Medical Council, the Jordanian Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and the Maternal–Fetal Medicine Group in Jordan.
