I am a Consultant Ophthalmologist specializing in Glaucoma and Cataract–Refractive Surgery, currently practicing at Wellcare Medical Centre, Abu Dhabi (UAE). With over 20 years of clinical experience, I have developed extensive expertise in managing complex glaucoma and cataract cases, combining evidence-based care with practical surgical judgment.

I completed my MBBS from Medical College, Trivandrum, followed by postgraduate training in Ophthalmology at the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Madras Medical College, Chennai. I subsequently underwent a Long-term Glaucoma Fellowship (2002–2003) at LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI), Hyderabad, one of the world’s leading centres of excellence in ophthalmology, under eminent mentors including Prof. Ravi Thomas, Dr G. Chandrasekhar, and Dr Anil K. Mandal.

My professional journey includes a significant tenure as Associate Consultant, Glaucoma Services at Sankara Nethralaya (Medical Research Foundation), Chennai, an internationally reputed tertiary eye care institute. My role encompassed clinical services, postgraduate teaching, and research, including active participation in the *Chennai Glaucoma Study*, a landmark population-based epidemiological study on glaucoma prevalence and incidence.

I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCS) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). I remain deeply passionate about my profession and committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centric glaucoma and cataract care.
