Dr Stephan Ortner

Dr. Stephan Ortner is an esteemed Austrian board certified Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 17 years of exceptional experience in his field. After studying Biology/Genetics and Medicine, he received impeccable training at several departments at the University Hospital Vienna (Orthopaedics, Traumatology), one of the most prominent hospitals in Austria (General Hospital Vienna).

Dr Ortner continued to gain invaluable experience and knowledge in his field by working as a consultant in other major hospitals in Austria, until he finally made the move to Dubai in 2011. It was here that he worked as an orthopaedic specialist at the Rashid Hospital/Trauma Center, Saudi German Hospital and Sheikh Khalifa General Hospital in Umm Al Quwain - providing top-notch care for all of his patients.

Dr Ortner regularly attends orthopaedic meetings and training courses for surgery to stay up to date. Although he is highly skilled in performing operations, Dr. Ortner first choice is always conservative therapy. The surgical option will only be discussed when necessary.
