Dr. Sheena Cherry

Dr. Sheena Cherry Barns Joy is a Specialist in Internal Medicine at Emirates Hospital Jumeirah, Dubai, with extensive experience in the management of acute and chronic medical conditions. She completed her MBBS at the University of Kerala, India, and her MD in Internal Medicine at Annamalai University, India. She further pursued a Fellowship in Critical Medicine at Apollo Hospital, Chennai, and a Postgraduate Program in Clinical Cardiology at Johns Hopkins University, India. In addition, she holds an MBA in Hospital Management.

Before joining Emirates Hospital, Dr. Sheena worked as a Specialist in Internal Medicine at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) in Abu Dhabi, where she provided comprehensive inpatient and outpatient medical care.

Her clinical expertise covers a broad spectrum of internal medicine, including the management of cardiac diseases, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, obesity, gastrointestinal disorders such as inflammatory bowel disease and gastric ulcers, infectious diseases, thyroid and iron deficiency disorders, and chronic illnesses. She also provides specialized post-COVID care, geriatric medicine, and weight management services.
