Dr. Sawsan Saad

Dr. Sawsan Abdelgayoum Mohamed Saad is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist specialising in reproductive medicine, infertility and assisted reproductive technology (ART), with over 34 years of professional experience across Sudan, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. 

Since 2023, Dr. Sawsan has been practising as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Ferticlinic Fertilization Centre in the UAE. Prior to this, she spent more than 12 years at Nile Fertility Centre in Khartoum, Sudan, where she held the positions of Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Assisted Reproductive Technology, as well as Medical Director. Her earlier career included working at Khartoum Fertility Centre, providing assisted reproduction and infertility care alongside obstetric and gynaecological services.

Her international career also includes appointments in Saudi Arabia, at Armed Forces Hospital, King Abdulaziz Airbase in Dhahran, and as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Aflag General Hospital in Riyadh. Previously, she held a Consultant designation with Sudan's Federal Ministry of Health and worked as a Lecturer at Khartoum Teaching Hospital and the University of Khartoum. 

Dr. Sawsan has extensive clinical experience in fertility treatment, including in vitro fertilisation (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), ovulation induction, intrauterine insemination (IUI) and recurrent miscarriage management. 

Up to date with the most recent developments within her field, Dr Sawsan has several professional affiliations. These include the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Sudanese Fertility Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Sudanese Human Reproduction and Embryology Society, the Middle East Fertility and Embryology Society, and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology.
