Dr. Sakina Farhat

Dr Sakina Farhat is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatology certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. She is based in Dubai and currently practices at Northwest Clinic, Medeor 24X7 Hospital and Medcare Hospital.

Dr Farhat completed her medical degree at the University of Health Science, India in 1996. She then moved to the USA to complete her specialist training in Internal Medicine and further research and training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. She practiced as a Consultant Gastroenterologist in the USA then moved to Dubai. Prior to her current positions, Dr Farhat at Emirates Hospital and American Hospital Dubai.

Dr Farhat is a trusted choice for many people in the region due to her compassionate and evidence-based approach to all her procedures and treatments. She is passionate about the wellbeing of her patients and so is extremely thorough and precise during her consultations to ensure she makes accurate diagnoses and develops effective treatment plans.

She has expertise in common digestive conditions such as indigestion, constipation and diarrhoea, as well as complex GI conditions. and is one of few consultants in the Middle East fellowship trained in hepatology.

She has interest in bridging the gap between healthcare and clinical research in order to provide preventative and personalised medicine services. She uses a compassionate and evidence-based approach to all her procedures and treatments.
