Dr Said Farhat

Dr. Said Farhat is a Specialist Gastroenterologist with an impressive academic background. He earned his MD from Kursk State Medical University and completed his specialist training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at the University of Balamand. He further enhanced his qualifications with AFSA certifications in Gastroenterology from Paris Descartes (Paris 5) and in Digestive Oncology from Pierre-Marie Curie (Paris 7).

Dr. Farhat’s expertise spans a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions. He is highly skilled in both diagnostic and interventional endoscopy, and he manages conditions such as gastro-esophageal reflux disease, inflammatory bowel disease, liver diseases, intestinal malabsorption, and other gastrointestinal disorders.

In his clinical practice, Dr. Farhat performs various procedures including diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy—with techniques such as esophageal band ligation—colonoscopy, weight loss-related endoscopy using balloon and botulinum toxin injections, and the STRETTA procedure. He is also experienced in small bowel enteroscopy, capsule endoscopy, ERCP (both diagnostic and therapeutic), and paracentesis.
