Dr. Riham Ammar

Dr Riham Ammar is a specialist pediatrician at Al Das Medical Clinic, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai. She is highly experienced with almost 30 years of experience in the field and has worked in Dubai for almost 20 years. Her main areas of expertise is in acute and chronic general pediatric illnesses with special interest in pediatric asthma and allergy, growth and development, and pediatric nutrition. Dr Ammar is dedicated to her patients and aims to provide the best quality healthcare with a personal touch. She advocates the prevention of pediatric injuries and illness through maintaining a fit and healthy lifestyle and offers advice on this along with preventive medicine.

Dr Ammar first qualified in 1991 from Ain Shams University, Egypt, before going on to complete a master's degree in pediatric medicine in 1995. Over her career, she has spent time working in a number of leading hospitals and medical centres around the world and is continually learning. She has been certified recently as a specialist in early nutrition from Ludwig-Maximillian's University, Munchin, Germany. Prior to her role at Al Das Medical Clinic, Dr Ammar was head of the pediatric and neonatal department at Jebel Ali International Hospital for seven years then extended her practice to work with Mediclinic Group also as a Specialist Pediatrician.

Dr Ammar is a member of the Emirates Pediatric Society, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and the Swiss Society of Pediatrics (SSP).
