About Dr Rabih Maatouk
Dr Maatouk is a consultant plastic, reconstructive, and maxillofacial surgeon. He is a Lebanese-German who is fluent in five languages, including Arabic, English, and German, making it easier for him to communicate with the diverse ethnic groups that make up our Emirati society.
After completing his medical education in 2005, Dr Maatouk relocated to Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany, where he spent the next six years specializing in plastic, cosmetic, reconstructive, and hand surgery.
Soon after, Dr Rabih assumed leadership of the plastic and reconstructive surgery division in a hospital with 1000 beds in his native Germany.
Dr Maatouk performed tens of thousands of plastic and aesthetic surgical treatments throughout the course of his career, including liposuction, breast surgery, body lifts, and a range of facial surgeries like facelifts, blepharoplasties, orthognathic surgeries, and jaw/chin adjustments.
His areas of expertise include complicated hand surgery and sophisticated microsurgical reconstructive surgery, including breast reconstruction with free flaps (DIEP, IGAP, SGAP...) after cancer-related mastectomies.
Dr Maatouk is aware that the outcomes of plastic surgery should appear as natural as possible. He appreciates the little things and thinks that the best way to ensure his patients' well-being is by being open and approachable with them.

Dr Rabih is one of the kindest, most talented, most patient doctors you can ask for. I did a lower blepharoplasty with him while visiting Abu Dhabi from the US. He did an amazing job and followed up with me even after I left. He is responsive, caring and above all loves what he does and it shows. His staff also make you feel welcome throughout your experience. Highly recommend Dr Rabih and his practice.
Absolutely exceptional! Dr. Rabih has the best bedside manners, attention to details, care and compassion for his patients. As someone that has unfortunately seen my extensive fare share of doctors over the years, have had multiple surgeries, and been under the care of other cosmetic surgeons for medical reasons, I can confidently say Dr. Rabih stands a class above the rest, and I will be coming back for my next surgeries with him as well. As for my results and actual end outcome, I am already super pleased, and can tell the quality of the work and end results will be amazing, and I am only 10 days out of surgery with swelling, bruising, and massive incision lines.
Can’t recommend Dr. Rabih enough. Extremely professional making you feel comfortable, he explains the realistic sizing and positioning that gets you the desired look you want. Incision and scaring wise, you truly can’t tell where the cuts were made and as close to nonexistent as possible. The aftercare was incredible, making the healing process very easy. The surgery has changed my life and confidence.
