With a focus on hand surgery, Dr Maatouk is a consultant plastic, reconstructive, and maxillofacial surgeon. He is a Lebanese-German who is fluent in five languages, including Arabic, English, and German, making it easier for him to communicate with the diverse ethnic groups that make up our Emirati society.

After completing his medical education in Toulouse, France, in 2005, Dr Maatouk relocated to Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany, where he spent the next six years specializing in plastic, cosmetic, reconstructive, and hand surgery.

Soon after, Dr Rabih assumed leadership of the plastic and reconstructive surgery division in a hospital with 1000 beds in his native Germany.

Dr Maatouk performed tens of thousands of plastic and aesthetic surgical treatments throughout the course of his career, including liposuction, breast surgery, body lifts, and a range of facial surgeries like facelifts, blepharoplasties, orthognathic surgeries, and jaw/chin adjustments.

His areas of expertise include complicated hand surgery and sophisticated microsurgical reconstructive surgery, including breast reconstruction with free flaps (DIEP, IGAP, SGAP...) after cancer-related mastectomies.

Dr Maatouk is aware that the outcomes of plastic surgery should appear as natural as possible. He appreciates the little things and thinks that the best way to ensure his patients' well-being is by being open and approachable with them.
