Dr. Pratikkumar Makwana

Dr. Pratikkumar Makwana is a highly skilled Specialist Anesthesiologist with nine years of experience in anesthesia. His extensive training and expertise enable him to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to patients across all age groups and surgical specialties.

Dr. Makwana completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Sardar Patel University, India, in 2011, followed by residency training at BJ Medical College in Ahmedabad, India. He furthered his education by obtaining a Doctor of Medicine in Anesthesia (MD Anes) from Gujarat University in 2015.

Throughout his career, Dr. Makwana has been dedicated to fostering clinical excellence and patient-centred care. He has played a key role in formulating and implementing hospital care, patient services, and medical programs, ensuring optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction. 

Dr. Makwana's scope of practice covers a wide range of procedures, including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric anesthesia, neuro-anesthesia, obstetric anesthesia, trauma cases, and major oncological surgeries, among others. He is proficient in managing complex cases and difficult airways, utilising advanced techniques such as ultrasound-guided nerve blocks and fiber optic intubation.

Prior to joining Mubadala Health Dubai, Dr. Makwana served as a Specialist Anesthesiologist at Medcare Orthopedics and Spine Hospital, Dubai.
