Dr. Prashant Sharma completed his graduation from the prestigious Seth GS medical college, KEM Hospital, Mumbai and MS from the TN Medical college, Nair Hospital, Mumbai in 2007 (University Topper). Thereafter did his Fellowship in "Implantation Otology" from the prestigious MERF center Chennai where he received training in cochlear and auditory brainstem implants. His special interests lay in Otology and treatment of all kinds of deafness. He was awarded the International visiting scholarship award for 2012 and visited the NYU Langone Medical Centre, New York for the same. At present, he is a Life Member of the Association of Otolaryngologists of India, Mumbai branch and Indian association of surgeons for sleep apnea He has many scientific presentations and published an article in an International journal.

Doctor prescribed an anti inflamatory medicine called Gupisone. According to the doctor the medicine was meant to be dissolved in water and gargled with. As per the pharmacy instruction it was to be taken after food for four days. Within half hour of the first dose I experienced high level of anxiety - an anticipated side effect for patients who suffer from anxiety. During my discussion with the doctor I had told him I have high level of stress. When I called the doctor back he took the call from his home which I appreicate and he clarified that this is pharmacy’s error. However I should not worry since this is an infant dosage. I have extremely low threshold for drugs related to anxiety. I have been on PPD pills at a severely low dosage and even withdrawing from that was a challenge for me. I dont not appreciate being given a drug that can possibly cause anxiety - let alone pharmacy not prescribing as a the doctor had suggested. This is negligence and I would like to file a formal complain
