Dr. Peter Gabor Lassu

Dr. Peter Gabor Lassu is a Consultant General, Laparoscopic and Vascular Surgeon with more than 27 years of surgical experience. He currently practises at Elemental Day Surgical Centre and is registered with both the UAE and UK General Medical Council (GMC), alongside being Hungarian Board Certified. His career has included clinical practice in Hungary, the UK and Dubai, giving him broad international experience across general, laparoscopic and vascular surgery.

Since graduating from medical school in 1998, Dr. Lassu has performed more than 8,000 surgical procedures. His practice incorporates Early Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols, drawing on experience gained through approximately 2,000 operations performed at Emersons Green NHS Treatment Centre in Bristol, UK. These protocols support structured perioperative care and recovery following surgery.

Dr. Lassu has also held leadership responsibilities, including serving as Surgical Lead during his time practising in Hungary. In this role, he established and maintained a laparoscopic colorectal cancer surgery service, contributing to the development of minimally invasive surgical care.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr. Lassu has experience in medical education, having taught medical students and supported the training of surgical trainees. His current surgical services include procedures for skin lesions, varicose veins, proctological conditions and laparoscopic conditions, alongside his wider expertise in general and vascular surgery.
