Dr. Pavan Kumar Gorla

Dr Pavan Kumar Gorla is a Consultant in Gastrointestinal Surgery with 16 years of experience in the diagnosis and surgical management of a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions. He currently practises at Medcare Royal Speciality Hospital,  Medcare Hospital Sharjah King faisal street and Medcare hospital Sharjah Branch 1(near mega mall) providing comprehensive care using both minimally invasive and advanced surgical techniques.

Dr Pavan began his surgical career in India, where he completed his training as a Junior and Senior Resident in General Surgery at the prestigious Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. He subsequently undertook advanced training in Surgical Gastroenterology at King George's Medical University, Lucknow before serving as a Consultant in Gastrointestinal Surgery at Charak Hospital, Lucknow. He is also a certified fellow of American college of Surgery (FACS). He later relocated to the UAE, where he worked as a Specialist in Gastrointestinal Surgery at Aster Hospital, Mankhool and, a Consultant in Gastrointestinal Surgery at NMC Royal Hospital, Sharjah before joining Medcare.

His clinical expertise encompasses both basic and complex gastrointestinal surgery, with a particular focus on laparoscopic and oncological procedures. He manages a broad spectrum of conditions, including hernias, gastrointestinal cancers, obesity and inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease.

In recognition of his academic excellence, Dr Gorla was awarded a Gold Medal as the Best Outgoing Medical Student during his medical degree and later received the prestigious Torrent Young Scholar Award (TYSA) in Surgical Gastroenterology, reflecting his commitment to excellence in surgical practice and patient care.
